Problem

What needed solving.

Gifted students in Arabic-language schools avoid wellness apps that feel clinical or exposed. Only 74 of 287 surveyed had used one; 225 of 287 said privacy was important.

Approach

How I approached it.

The home screen opens with a mood check-in; each of nine moods pairs an emoji with a text label and leads to one short activity, not a menu. Skipping carries no penalty. The AI companion stays inside Mishkat's own activities.

Evidence

What the test said.

68 → 92% n = 6
Task completion, GP1 comparative test
287
Validated survey responses
6 / 6 n = 6
Scenarios completed without intervention (GP2 test)
15 / 15
Functional tests passed after two fixes

The questionnaire was administered; the report does not give the score.

On self-harm, abuse or danger the companion stops suggesting activities and points to a trusted adult, a school counselor or emergency services.
Takeaway

What this one leaves behind.

A Flutter PWA built on 15 interviews, 287 survey responses and two prototype rounds, then validated with six target users. It measures usability, not well-being — and does not claim what it did not test.

A team project; individual contributions as noted above.
